The project
Anti-Fraud Team — Stay Informed. Be Prepared. Take Action. is a national project funded by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT) and implemented by the iConsumatori Federation, which is registered with the CNCU (National Council of Consumers and Users) and comprises the consumer associations A.E.C.I. APS and Konsumer Italia.
A project designed to help citizens recognize, prevent, and combat all types of fraud—from banking fraud to digital fraud, from trap contracts to misleading food labels. Because scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and can affect anyone, regardless of age or education level.
The local offices of A.E.C.I. APS and Konsumer Italia have been expanded to provide direct support for any issues related to banking, digital, contractual, and food-related fraud. Trained staff are available throughout the country.

"Let's Protect Ourselves from Fraud": a free and accessible online course featuring short modules, simulations of real-life scams, and interactive quizzes to test your knowledge. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the course.
ShopSicuro is the project’s digital tool: simple and intuitive, it allows you to verify a website, report an incident, request personalized assistance, and download ready-to-use templates to protect yourself.
Podcasts, short videos, infographics, topic-specific guides, and social media posts: practical and engaging content to keep you up to date on the latest scams and how to protect yourself.
Local meetings to exchange ideas and learn, culminating in a national event with experts, institutions, and representatives of civil society to present the project’s results.
A nationwide survey to assess how well prepared we are to deal with scams, to be repeated at the end of the project to measure progress. The data collected will be used to develop concrete proposals for government agencies.
Special attention is given to the most vulnerable groups: older adults, young people, people with disabilities, and anyone who feels less secure in the digital world. All content is written in simple, accessible language.
Together, we can make a difference: the best defense against scams is information.
